Both are written by award-winning Press journalists, and both require a paid subscription to access the full slate of daily stories and available back issues.
- 2. Why are you charging for digital subscriptions?
Quality journalism requires trained, paid journalists dedicated to getting to the bottom of a story and providing the story objectively in a timely manner. Digital platforms are the newest way of delivering the news, but similar to the print product require a significant investment of staff resources, time, and support services to make happen. Just as print readers for generations have chosen to pay for quality news, digital readers are also now being asked to pay their fair share for accessing trustworthy, detailed stories about the people, places, political environment of an area they care deeply about – South Jersey.
- 3. How much does a digital subscription cost?
A monthly subscription to PressofAtlanticCity.com is $6.95 for 30 days of unlimited accessibility to all site features. An annual subscription for $69.95 provides two months for free, or 12 months for the cost of 10.
A subscription to the e-Paper sells for $5.95 a month.
- 4. What do I get when I subscribe?
Online at PressofAtlanticCity.com you get unlimited access to all site features. This includes all articles written by staff reporters, all NJ news running on site, blogs, videos, reader comments, archived articles and more.
With the e-Paper, you receive a full page-by-page rendition of each day's paper.
- 5. If I'm a print subscriber, can I get digital access free?
Yes to the PressofAtlanticCity.com, but only if you are a 7-day subscriber. Print subscribers with less than 7-day options do not qualify for e-Paper discounts or full, free web access.
To gain full, immediate, 24/7 access to all features on the PressofAtlanticCity.com 7-day subscribers must register on the site.
Seven-day subscribers also qualify for a reduced annual subscription to the e-Paper service for just $15 a year. This equates to $1.25 a month, a substantial discount off the regular $5.95 monthly rate.
- 6. What's the difference between the e-Paper and PressofAtlanticCity.com?
Press news is presented digitally each day both on the website PressofAtlanticCity.com and via an e-Paper version. Both are accessible from any computer anywhere in the world. The e-Paper provides an exact page-by- page replica of the morning's paper along with ads and photos. The web version changes throughout the day as news breaks, and provides links to extra story components. Both are written and vetted by Press journalists and editors providing the same level of quality South Jersey news and superior journalism for which The Press of Atlantic City has been known.
For those who enjoy reading the news online and want the latest news at any particular time of the day, the PressofAtlanticCity.com is preferred. For those who desire a more traditional page-turning experience, or want to see exactly what the paper looked like on any particular day but can't get the physical product, the e-Paper is the preferred choice. They both provide the same quality journalism.
- 7. Is any part of the web site free?
Yes. Certain portions of the site are always available for public viewing. These include obituaries, the home page, section fronts, photo galleries, and all classifieds providing listings of jobs, homes, businesses and services in the area. In addition, 10 article pages in a 30-day period are provided for free as a sample, or trial subscription. After the free trial of 10 click-throughs to news article pages, premium content is accessible by subscription only.
- 8. What's premium content?
On the PressofAtlanticCity.com, premium content is defined as the news articles written by our journalists. Premium content refers to pages that are not open for public viewing at all times.
- 9. How am I billed?
Digital subscriptions are charged to your credit card monthly. Upon registration, you provide the preferred credit card information and your card is charged for the subscription level and service you choose. Monthly and annual subscriptions are automatically renewed unless you stop the subscription.
- 10. Can my family access the site?
Yes. Families can share accounts. It is no different than a family sharing one copy of the print paper.
- 11. Do I have to have a separate subscription for work and home?
No. Your digital subscription logon and password follow you wherever you go. They are not specific to one computer or device. This ease of access allows you to get news and information instantly, anywhere it's convenient for you.
- 12. What is the cancellation and refund policy?
A web or e-Paper subscription can be cancelled at any time and is stopped at the end of the billing cycle in which a stop order is received. For monthly subscriptions, each billing cycle is 30 days, starting with the day of purchase. For annual subscriptions, the billing cycle is 12 months, starting with the day of purchase.
Annual subscribers to PressofAtlanticCity.com have 30 days to cancel a new subscription to receive a full refund. Annual cancellations received after 30 days are not refunded and the user can continue to access the site unlimited throughout the year.

- 13. Are there any subscription discounts?
Yes there is an annual discount. An annual web subscription for $69.95 provides two months for free or 12 months for the cost of 10.
Upon registration, 7-day print subscribers receive free access to our web news service for free. Seven-day print subscribers also qualify for a substantially reduced rate for an annual e-Paper subscription for just $15, or $1.25 a month, more than 75% off the regular $5.95 monthly rate.
Print subscribers with less than 7-day options do not qualify for e-Paper discounts or free, premium web access.
- 14. What can I see for free?
When surfing the web, you can always see the home page and section fronts such as the headlines on sports, business, and our region section for free. In addition, obituaries and the marketplace pages are open to the public at all times as are photo galleries. Click throughs to specific articles, however, count toward a monthly free trial. After 10 articles are viewed in any one 30-day period, you will be asked to subscribe in order to access more articles or premium content.
If you want to access any portion of the e-Paper, you must subscribe.
- 15. How do I contact customer service?
From 9-5 Eastern Time, call 1-866-717-7377. At other times, call 1-877-773-7724. For e- mail, send queries to customercare@mypressplus.com. You can also manage your own account at any time by logging in at mypressplus.com.
- 16. Is there a free trial subscription?
On the web, each user can access 10 premium pages in a 30-day period as a trial service. After that, a subscription is required to view news articles.
If you want to access the e-Paper, you must subscribe. There were some free trial subscriptions when the service was first introduced that are no longer available.
- 17. When I go on vacation, or if I have a medical emergency, can I put my digital subscription on hold?
No. Digital subscriptions are billed in 30-day and annual cycles, and access to your account is available anywhere in the world, or any place with Wi-Fi or internet access.
- 18. What is the home page?
The home page is the first page you see when you type in PressofAtlanticCity.com. It is available for reading for free to let you see the full range of news stories being posted every day. Article links off the home page count as considered premium content and count toward the amount of free articles you can see before being asked to subscribe.
- 19. What is a section front?
A section front is a web page similar to the front page of a section in the newspaper. Section fronts are the first web page for Sports, Business, Region and Life. They remain free so you can see the full range of stories that are available in any one day, but the stories themselves are considered premium content for subscribers.
- 20. How many articles can I see for free?
Ten in any 30-day period. You will receive notifications at various intervals to let you know when you are nearing the 10-article limit. At the 10th article accessed in a 30-day period, you will be asked to subscribe in order to continue reading.

21. Can I give a digital subscription as a gift?
Yes. You just need to note that the recipient is different from the billing account and provide the email address of the gift recipient so he or she may register to activate the account.
